Wildland Firefighting

May Machinery has been working closely with the State to fight wildland fires for more than 8 years. We are passionate about taking good care of our land, but also about keeping Arizona citizens safe.

Notable fires May Machinery has been involved in are the Horseshoe 2 fire in 2011, which burned more than 222,000 acres; the Wallow fire in 2011, which scarred over half a million acres in north eastern Arizona; and the Yarnell Hill Fire in June of 2013, when 19 honorable firefighters sacrificed their lives.

Our crew runs D6, D5, and D8N dozers to cut fire lines, which prevent the growth and expansion of fire through the forest.
